HOYS 2010

This year we were lucky enough to have another great show.

Saturday started with Rocky confirming his dislike of the International Arena, however Sligo Lucky and Emos Jessie were stars and jumped their hearts out. Both ponies were very unlucky, Lucky jumped a great first round and in the jump off had the fastest time but had the second part of the double down. This left them in sixth placed. Mean while Jessie jumped a great first round over a strong track but unfortunately had the last fence down leaving them in fifth place. We were delighted with both the ponies and Emily.

Sunday again had highs and lows!

It started with a high, Noble Toreen Lass(Mell) winning the Underwood 133cm WHP. We were absolutly thrilled with her and it was an emotional finish to Emily and Mell's partnership - Mell now moves to her new family and this was their last round together. What a way to finish!

Next up was Emily riding Stambrook Pavarotti, he once again did a great job but had an unlucky pole. They finished a good ninth.

Lilacs Pegatty and Sophie were next and after looking good Peggy managed to badly injure herself during her round and had to be rushed of to the vets for stitching and staples to a nasty wound on her fetlock. Peggy has now gone home to recover and we wish her well.

Emily and Mell finished the day by standing Reserve WHP Champion, they went really well in the International Arena and did a brillant gallop.

Well done to Emily and Mell.

Good Luck to Mell in her new home, we will certainly miss you! x

SUPER STEVE!!!

Mean while Noble Bestman was flying the flag at Weston Park International Three Day Event. Partnered by Laura Collett they led the YR Two Star from start to finish. Steve finished on his dressage score by a good margin so I know Laura was delighted.

This time last year Steve was at HOYS as a Worker and had only done two Pre Novice Events with Nick, his career change clearly suits him.

Well done Laura and Steve.
